This system is designed for single gates, if you have two small wooden gates you would be wise to fit the traditional automatic gate systems, if however the twin gates are large, but only occasionally both being needed to open, you can lock one into place and fit the AgriWheel to the other gate, this has been done quite often.

Yes, the system is easy to fit, and you do not have to work with mains AC power supplies.

I have no knowledge of mains electricity, would it be dangerous for me to fit a system?

This is a fully low voltage DC system, the only mains supply required if you are using mains to charge the system is a 13-amp standard wall socket. No regulations to worry about.

The AgriWheel will operate on gravel, in some applications with very deep gravel you may have to put a small concrete run under the gravel, but this is very occasional.

Depending on which battery you have chosen, and how may switching accessories you have on the gate this will vary, but anywhere between 12 to 100 gate operations.

You can move the solar panel up to 100 metres away from the gate if required, but the size of cable needed between the two will increase.

Solar panels do work in dull-old-UK, they require day light and not sunlight, the only time they will not charge at all is in fog and darkness.

Without doubt, December and January are the worst months in the UK as this is the time of year with the least daylight hours, some customers specify their size of battery and solar power for this time of year, some customers accept that they may have to charge the battery a couple of times at this time of year, it is all about a balance between operational use and initial costs.
